2009 Donation
Members of the Central Valley Struttin’ Gobblers (a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey
Federation or NWTF) recently conducted a food drive and fund raiser for the Food Haven,
a relief organization affiliated with the Faith Lutheran Church of Humboldt, SD.
Cash donations and non-perishable food items were collected at the CVSG
booth during this years Jamboree Days on June 20th ,2009.
The local conservation group offered chances for raffle items with each food donation
or $5 contribution. Numerous raffle prizes were given away ranging from NWTF
caps to a camoflauge hunting blind. Over 40 pounds of food was collected along
with a $100 cash donation.
President Greg Boddicker presents the newly formed Humboldt Food Haven with a $100.00 check and
40 pounds of donated food. The food was collected during Jamboree Days in Hartford, SD
on June 20th, 2009.
