Outdoor Event to be Held For Local Women & Children
Members of the Central Valley Struttin’ Gobblers (a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation or NWTF) are in the final planning stages for their inaugural “Women In The Outdoors” symposium scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd at Hunter’s Pointe shooting complex near Humboldt, SD. Directions are 2 miles south & 2 miles east of I-90, Exit #379. This will be the only such opportunities offered in the area and one of a hand full within the state South Dakota. A wide variety of seminars and hands-on activities will be offered throughout the day-long event for women & children age 10 or older:
· 8:00am – 9:00am.......Registration
· 9:00am – 4:00pm.....Misc. classes & seminars
* Dutch Oven Cooking
* Archery
* Fishing
* Self Defense
* Shotgun Training/Shooting
* Pistol Training/Shooting
* Sporting Clays
* Hands-on education for the entire family
· Noon – 1:00pm………Lunch
· 4:00pm – 4:30pm……Silent Auction & Raffles
A laser shooting range will also be on site, supplied by the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks. There will be a maximum amount of participants allowed so early registration is important. A small investment will be required in order to cover costs and to be considered for all auction/raffle items.

This will be the last event conducted by the CVSG’s for the remainder of the year. Since January the chapter has conducted a successful banquet, a youth ice fishing derby and a food drive for the Humboldt Food Haven.
