CVSG Awards 2009 Scholarship
 
The members of the Central Valley Struttin’ Gobblers (CVSG) of Hartford, SD are proud to announce that Zach Hansen of McCook Central High School has been awarded a $250 scholarship for the school year 2008 – 2009.  Zach is a member of the local FFA where he placed first in the state and third overall in the nation for Production Entrepreneurship.  Future plans are to attend Mitchell Technical Institute and major in the field of Utilities Technology.  Mr. Hansen is preceded by three other scholarship winners, Noelle Rist (06’), Daniel Pusch (07’) and Jared Nelson (08’).  All of West Central High School.
 
He has practiced Wildlife Management for numerous years through the means of hunting, trapping and the planting of food plots and tree belts.  Zach plans on continuing these practices by having his own farm and educating young people about the importance of conservation and the outdoors.  This local award has now qualified him to be eligible for an additional state and national scholarships through the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF).  If you what like to know more about how you can become  involved with the Central Valley Struttin’ Gobblers please feel free to call Scott Nelson at 605-528-7320.
