CVSG takes 7 Awards at State & Hosts Banquet

Your local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation made a big impression at last weekends State Convention in Mitchell, SD. The Central Valley Struttin’ Gobblers (CVSG) of Hartford/Humboldt received seven honors for the calendar year 2008 placing at least 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd in the following categories:

· 1^st……….Best Banquet Gross Earnings

· 1^st……….Best Banquet Net Earnings

· 1^st……….Best net to Gross Banquet Performance

· 1^st……….Most Sponsor Members

· 2^nd………Most Wheelin’ Sportsman Members

· 3^rd………Most Women in the Outdoors Members

· 3^rd………Most Hunting Heritage Members

To see this award winning conservation group in action you are encouraged to attend this Saturday’s 4^th Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on January 24^th. The event will take place at “The Trophy Room” in Humboldt, SD with the social and games/raffles starting at 5:30pm and dinner served at 6:30pm.

As always, there will be a wide variety of live and silent auction items highlighted by an Alabama Wild Hog hunt, a special “Night Out Package” and numerous guns and household wildlife décor. The auction will be conducted by none other than Yvette VanDerBrink (also known as “The Lil’ Nordstrom Girl”).

There is still Business sponsorship opportunities available with individual ticket priced at $45 for a single and $60 for couples. Besides for a guaranteed good time each participant will receive a great catered meal, 1-year NWTF membership and numerous national publications throughout 2009. Funds raised will go to support local and national conservation efforts, scholarships and a local youth Ice Fishing event on February 21^st.
